Energy and environmental issues have top priority

Environmental issues are very important for Norpe and are a major consideraton in our production processes. We constantly test and develop new solutions:

cooling systems
coolants (CO2, secondary systems)
energy saving fans
energy saving lightning
optimized insulation
optimal airflow solutions.

Since the beginning of year 2006 we have used more environmentally friendly HFC-free polyurethane in the insulation of our cabinets. Now as much as 95% of the cabinets' parts are recyclable. Raw material waste from production is recycled 100% and our cabinets are painted with environment friendly painting. The development of indirect systems and the testing of alternative coolants are typical examples of Norpe's dedication to ensuring a better future.

In our cabinets we use energy saving fans and Long Life fluorescent tubes, which have three times the life expectancy of ordinary tubes. Norpe's dual evaporator reduces the frequency and duration required for defrosting, prevents evaporator freeze-up and consumes less energy while ensuring that the cabinet temperature stays constant.
