Over 50 years of Refrigeration expertise

Originally the idea of one man, Norpe has become in fifty years a well-known and respected refrigeration expert that employs nearly 500 people in its 2.5-hectare production facilities.

Below is an overview of Norpe's history

1953	The company was founded by Reijo Mäntyoja.
1954	The company called Norpe starts operating in Porvoo, Finland.
	The first products where refigerated cabinets, milk chillers and Finland’s first island refrigerators.
1958	The range of services is extended to manufacture of refrigeration and freezer lorries.
1961	Exports start in an organised manner.
1963	Supermarket equipment manufacturing begins.
1973	Domestic freezers are introduced.
1985	Merger with Hollming Oy, the new name is Hollming Oy Norpe.
1990	The company takes back its old name Norpe Oy.
2005	The company is sold to MB Funds in year 2005.
